BEAUTIFUL LOSERS

'I wanted to be a conceptual artist'
Introduced by the boy, this is one of the most beautifully, informative and inspirational films ever made. Produced by Sidetrack Films, the documentary film follows some of the strongest artists such as Shepard Fairey and Ed Templeton who have made an impact on today's creative society. The structure and the content including the music, nostalgic footage and beautiful shots of the work make the movie overall, unique. The ancient shots of the Golden Gate presenting rural city culture from the artists backgrounds, then shot in their childhood memories and classic suburban hideouts, this movie explores each artist individually from history to present.
I'm learning, but am yet to fully elaborate on my findings and beliefs on graffiti and the public art sector of street creativity. It's something that can either be loved or hated. Citizens can view public art as a mess or some can see it as modern creativity. These artists included in Beautiful Losers each have subjective and valid beliefs on their profession in the freelance industry, to me, they are wonderful human beings.

PIN-UP PETER

THE ART OF PETER DRIBEN.
He was a deal. An American Pin-Up artist known to be one of the most prouctive of the 1940's and 1950's. Driben attracted a lot of media attention due to his controversial art, especially around World War 11. The art director of The New York Sun, Driben turned to portrait and fine art and included exhibitional pieces of Dwight Eisenhower the late president. Magazine covers and advertising for Hollywood lead to his main success. The art is timeless.
