Was pretty stoked when I saw my friend Suzi Kemp featured on the Hypebeast Pen & Paper series last month. Suzi's work is rad and Hypebeast are featuring up & coming illustrators to debut their inspirational portfolios and exploration of their styles.
'Suzi Kemp lives in the East End of London and draws inspiration for her illustrations from the city’s suburban life and culture. Her work oozes punk aesthetics, visibly influenced by an adolescence that thrived on ’80s hardcore punk rock and a love for Alan Aldridge. Her drawings are typified by heavy black inks with bold, bright colors — because Suzi finds delightful motivation in the color and design of nature, especially since living in the city. “It can stop you in your tracks when you are used to bricks and concrete.” - Hypebeast
