You know I like my sneaks. This year Nike are releasing their 40th anniversary specials, the Cortez classics. Along with the re-release of the Tailwind shoe.
'The first shoe to sport Nike’s patented Air-sole unit, as conceived by aerospace technology specialist Frank Rudy, the Tailwind debuted at the Honolulu Marathon in 1978 before seeing a broad release the following year.' -Hypebeast
'Records fall. Crowds roar. Gravity's humiliation grows. And a miracle shoe evolves.
That oversized swoosh, that upper nylon of suede, the look and feel still tells you the soul of Cortez rides within. But it rides a little higher, a little stronger, and so do you.' - Nike
Now as far as sneaker philosophy kinda goes, I think that's pretty cool.
Classic, Carrie High School Gym Class throwing tampons kinda cool. circa 72.
