HIGH ALPHA

Black Rock City, Nevada Desert

Researching Burning Man Festival as a potential visit next year. Arguably, it's probably one of the most unique and productive events that has been built through participation and general human relations, reflecting on ancient collaborations and art installations from a variety of platforms. Located on a dry lake bed in the Nevada Desert, money is no object. You make and trade. You paint your bike with neon's and you only bring necessities. It's known that at night, thousands of riders race round the man-made Black Rock City of 50,000 people and the lights are reflective of a neighbouring Las Vegas. This looks incredibly beautiful, it's just getting there- I don't think my Raleigh could hack those mountains.

It's also a red moon lunar eclipse tonight.

"Picture me under blood red moon
I'll make your eyes turn yellow

Make your skin turn blue"
-the XX.
