Karen O & The Kids
Actually in love with this. Karen O & The Kids set the musical score and soundtrack for Spike Jonze's ' Where The Wild Things Are'. I think I prefer Karen O in a more chilled, ambient vocal compared to the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, she's got a really sweet voice, though I do like the screams. Based on the childrens book by Maurice Sendak, Jonze commissioned bands such as the Racounters and actual kiddies to sing along in one has to be the cutest film EVER. My Verdict on the film is that it really was good. Short and sweet, with I guess not much of a story and minor morals. However, it's filmed beautifully and it's overall visually imaginative, typical Jonze style- it's him all over. The film along with the music is like a dream that you hate to wake up from, you escape reality to live with some freaky talking ferbie like creatures on this island who want to eat you. Then you become their king and all is well. I want to go there on my next holiday, it looks really fun.
